CORES

Comprehensive Opportunities Resources & Employment Services

Justice just isn’t served when justice-involved individuals get the one-size-fits-all treatment. First-timers are at risk of showing up in the system a second and third time. Some justice-involved individuals pass a point of no return due to deficiencies in healthcare, a lack of achievable life skills, or some other unmet need like transportation or housing.

CORES is our solution to break that cycle before it can begin. It’s a one-stop, fully customizable approach from Justice Assistance that provides a wraparound family of services in a single location.

CORES participants access all of these services in a single facility:

Life Skills Development
Life Skills Development Specialists provide our clients with group-class opportunities, such as financial and digital literacy. They also act as the primary point of contact for all clients if they need an additional service.

Employment and Education Services
Using various assessments such as Job Match PXT  to give insight to our clients’ work skills and motivation. We work daily to assist our clients with job readiness and career development, including resume building, interview preparation, and building written and oral communication skills.

Community Health Worker and Peer Recovery Specialist
The  Community Health Worker is a public health professional who possesses similar cultural knowledge, practices, and beliefs, and life experiences as our clients. This service provides our clients with access to improved quality care and services. They are a vital link between justice-involved individuals and critical health care and social services.

Behavioral Health Services
Our team consists of licensed clinicians who begin where their clients are at. Clinicians offer mental health counseling, substance use counseling, and anger management. In doing so, a psychosocial assessment is completed while building rapport with clients as we work together on treatment goals. Clients are treated with respect and are seen as collaborative partners.
