Justice Assistance provides a comprehensive, holistic way of responding when our clients experience serious mental health or behavioral challenges often ignited by trying to overcome various obstacles to success.
Behavioral Health Services
Justice Assistance licensed clinicians use a systemic way to obtain and document information about a client’s psychiatric condition, functionality, behavior, personal history, values, preferences, goals, and other relevant information. This is then analyzed using clinical reasoning to identify underlying causes of conditions and symptoms and to choose pertinent interventions.
Clients have access to mental health and substance use counseling. Clinical interventions are designed to provide maximum reduction of mental health disability and restoration or maintenance of functioning consistent with requirements for learning, employment, and personal development. Toxicology screenings are coming soon.
Employment and Education Services
Justice Assistance uses various assessments such as the Comprehensive Assessment System for Adult Students (CASAS) to determine assess to the learning ability and motivational traits of our client and find pathways to success. In addition, the Job Match Profile (JMP) gives insight to our clients’ work skills and motivation. Our staff works daily to prepare our clients for employment, including preparing them for interviews and sharpening skills needed to be successful in a work environment.
Community Health Worker and Peer Recovery Specialist
The Justice Assistance CHW/PRS are frontline, public health professionals who have similar cultural knowledge, practices, and beliefs, and life experiences as our clients. This health care service provides our clients with access to improved quality care and services. They are a vital link between justice-involved individuals and the needed health care and social services.
Life Skills Development
Life Skills Development Specialists are the initial point of contact for all new clients. They also administer the Brown University Severity Index and strategically plan life goals. The Brown University Severity Index measures substance use risk and demographic information which allows us to better serve our clients.
