JA Health & Wellness offers primary healthcare services, along with behavioral health counseling, substance use disorder counseling, and wellness services for individuals involved in the justice system. Healthcare services will be provided alongside other social services, including job training and housing resources, all under one roof at Justice Assistance.

What we do:
If you are looking to become a New Patient, please call (401) 781-7000 Ext 23 to schedule an appointment or send back this referral (Link) to be contact by the Patient Care Specialist to schedule your visit.
If you are an existing Patients please go to the Patient Portal to review documents and request appointments.
In case of a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for immediate assistance.

Any individual who has interacted with the justice system at any stage. This could include defendants and/ or victims of crime, and the formerly incarcerated.
Who is Justice Involved?
As of May 2023, 62% of all Justice Assistance enrollments require mental health and/or substance use treatment.
According to the Center for Disease Control, justice-involved individuals both nationally and in RI are overwhelmingly poor, disproportionally non-white, undereducated and in overall poor health.
Statistics show that if first-time offenders, through proper intervention and support, avoid entering the judicial system, they are thirty-four (34%) percent more likely not to reoffend
